New York Artists Equity Association (NYAE) members are invited to submit works for inclusion in its annual invitational. Submissions will be peer juried by a panel of notable practitioners and allied professionals.
Lisa Levy’s life and work blurs the lines between art and comedy— from conceptual artist to comedian and performer to host of her radio talk show, Lisa takes over the Equity Gallery Project Space this winter.

NYAE is excited to announce the continuation of the artists’ critique group that originally ran in Bushwick and reprised at NYAE in fall 2023. Sessions will be presented in person at Equity Gallery, 245 Broome St. NYC. Sherilyn Neidhardt will be returning as the key host and point person for the series. The critique format will adhere to previous models whereby the artist narrates a 10-image, nine minute, PowerPoint presentation of their work to a live audience followed by a five minute audience Q&A. All media are welcome so long as works are clearly represented in still images.
Interested participants need to send an email with a single paragraph artist statement and five – seven images to info@nyartistsequity.org with the subject line “transcender application” The final transcender of 2024 will be Nov 20th, applications are due Nov 15th.

A genuine and organic appearance of a collective with shared aspirations is rare and never random. In this instance, no three artists could have come from more divergent backgrounds and yet their work converses on an intimate and formalist level with adjoining narratives and motives to be explored fore with.
