New York Artists Equity Members Invitational
It's finally here! Equity Gallery is pleased to announce that our annual members-only juried exhibition, the Members Invitational, is open for submission for Rose, Emerald, and Lifetime Tier Members.
Each applicant can submit up to 3 artworks. Images of these works should be formatted as high res 300 DPI JPEGS. Each image should be labeled with the artists name, the artwork’s title, the year completed, media, and the dimensions in inched using the appropriate “Height by Width” format for 2D works or “Height by Width by Depth” for 3D works. Selected artists will be invited to show 1 or 2 of their works. Works in all media, both 2-D and 3-D are eligible for submission.
The Invitational will be juried by Ben Pritchard, Matt Rota, Graham Nickson and Sharilyn Neidhardt.

Artist Selection Notifications: Fri. Dec 22nd , 2023
Show Dates: Thurs. Jan. 11th - Sat. Feb. 3rd, 2024
Artwork Drop -Off Dates: Fri. Jan. 6th and Sat. Jan. 7th , 1 - 4PM
Shipped works deadline: Fri. Jan. 6th
Artwork Pick-Up Dates: Sun. Feb, 4th and Mon. Feb. 5th. 1 - 5PM
* Artwork shipping, drop off, and pick up dates are non-negotiable. No exceptions.
How to Participate:
The size limit for submitted artworks is 40” in any dimension including frame. Artworks that exceed 40” will not be accepted.
The applicant must complete the Jotform linked below which will include an artist statement, short bio, as well as images and full captions of submitted work. Please have all materials written in the third person.
Current Rose, Emerald, and Lifetime Membership to New York Artists Equity is REQUIRED for eligibility, no exceptions. There is no added fee for submission.
Selected artists will be informed of the jurors’ selection on or about Dec. 22nd, 2023.
The exhibition will take place at our 245 Broome St. location from Jan. 11th - Feb. 3rd with an opening reception on Thurs Jan 11th, 6-8 PM.
All submitted artworks must be available to show and be for sale to be eligible for the exhibition.
Additional Contractual Obligations for Participating Artists.
1. Shipping and drop off of works is the sole responsibility of the artist. Insurance against theft and damage is also the sole responsibility of the artist.
2. The artist agrees to adhere to show dates, stipulations, and deadlines as noted in the guidelines and forthcoming communications and alerts.
3. During the duration of the exhibition and for three months after the closing date, Equity Gallery will receive a 50% commission on the final retail price of all exhibited works.
