About the Speakers:
Eric Holzman lives in SoHo, NYC. He attended Tyler School of Art where he met John Moore, who became an influential mentor, and later attended Yale Grad School. He spent summers at Skowhegan and the Studio School. Eric has received awards, among them a Guggenheim and a Pollock Krasner, and honors from the American and National Academy of which he is a member.
Ben Pritchard was born in Detroit, Michigan and attended the New York Studio School from 1995-97. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts, London in 2009 and has been working in Brooklyn and Detroit since 2011. Most recently the subject of much critical acclaim for his one-person show at SFA Projects in the Brooklyn Rail, Pritchard has also shown at Life on Mars, M. David & Co, and Equity Gallery.
Jonathan Goodman is an art writer based in New York. For more than thirty years he has written about contemporary art for such publications as Art in America, Sculpture, and fronterad (an Internet publication based in Madrid). His special interests have been the new art of Mainland China and sculpture. He currently teaches contemporary art writing and thesis essay writing at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
