Equity Gallery is pleased to present new works by the collective “Bread & Roses Studio” comprising a group of four young sculptors employing largely traditional techniques and materials, from marble to clay and glass, to arrive at arresting forms and narratives. The group, named after the labor movement poem by John Oppenheim that envisions a world of opportunity and hope, share expertise, materials, and art world contacts in a large store-front studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Three members, Madison Haws, Liza Little and Candice Spry, are recent graduates of the New York Academy of Art.  The fourth member, Michael Levchenko, hails from the Ukraine, and will be participating in the 2025 edition of Harlem Sculpture Gardens which is co-produced by NYAE & Equity Gallery.
