Equity Gallery is pleased to ring in the new year with the NYAEA Annual Members Invitational, the latest iteration of our annual juried group exhibition exclusively featuring artwork by New York Artists Equity members. The exhibition is Equity Gallery’s first new exhibition of 2020 and will run from January 15th through February 9th.
The thirteen gifted artists selected to be featured in the show are J.L. Abraham, Lee Apt, Michael Arata, Liz Atlas, Lexi Axon, Ryan J. Brady, Linda King Ferguson, Fred Fleisher, Mia Grimes, Lisa Hess Hesselgrave, Toni Silber-Delerive, Susan Stillman, and Ellen Weider.
The artwork included in this exhibition was hand-picked by a panel of accomplished jurors, which includes writer, editor, curator, and co-founder of online art publications Art [inter] and After Vasari Paul D'Agostino, director of the Lower East Side gallery Lichtundfire Priska Juschka, and independent curator and art consultant Luciana Solano.
The Annual Members Invitational celebrates both New York Artists Equity Association’s legacy and history by highlighting the artworks of its current members. Artists Equity was founded in 1947 by over 160 prominent American artists, including art world luminaries such as Jacob Lawrence, Louise Nevelson, and Edward Hopper, and continues to be an influential and guiding organization for artists today.
